About Us

Formed in Fall 2019, the Stanford Chapter of the National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE@Stanford; pronounced No-Be-Shay) is a student-led organization in the Stanford department of Chemistry. The NOBCChE parent organization is the largest professional organization in the nation for Black scientists in the chemical sciences. The purpose of NOBCChE@Stanford is to build an eminent scientific community at Stanford that is dedicated to the advancement and inclusion of Black trainees and other under-represented minorities (URM) in chemistry, chemical engineering, and related fields. All trainees (undergrads, grad students, and postdocs) are welcome to join NOBCChE @Stanford.

If you are a Black or URM trainee or an ally in advancing inclusion and success of Black and URM trainees, please use this link to join our mailing list to hear about our events and initiatives!
